Dave Kirby- Partner
After 15 years in the USAF flying fighter aircraft, Major David Kirby traded in the cockpit for a desk job at McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in July 1994. He and his wife Ann have 5 daughters and two young grandkids. Although he’s not dropping laser guided bombs any longer, he still flies around the country in a private airplane, visiting clients and helping with their insurance. When he’s not up in the sky or in the office, he can be found on the golf course or working on rental properties in his free time.
Mike McCashland- Partner
Mike began his insurance career in 2002 with McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency after owning several Runza Restaurant franchises. Mike and his wife reside in Omaha where they raised three children. In their free time they enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Gary T Schneider- Account Executive
Gary is a native of O’Neill, NE. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School he went on to play football for the University of Nebraska and received a degree in finance. Gary has been in the insurance business since 1990. He joined McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in 2007.
Bryan Reimers- Commercial Lines Account Manager
Bryan was born and raised in Lincoln, NE. In 2014 he graduated from Lincoln East High School where he became a 2-time 3 sport letter winner in football, baseball, and basketball. He went on to play football at the University of Nebraska and graduated with a degree in business management in 2018. In his free time he likes to watch sports, play golf, hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors. Bryan is a licensed agent in property and casualty insurance. He enjoys assisting his clients with all of their insurance needs.
Elissa Biggerstaff- Office Manager
Elissa joined McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in April 1999 after working with Allied Insurance for 2 years. In addition to managing the office, Elissa works with our large commercial clients and produces her own book of business. In her free, time Elissa enjoys spending time with her 2 children and playing volleyball.
Scott Belden, CPCU, CIC- Commercial Lines Account Manager
Scott began his insurance career in 1983 as a personal lines agent in Topeka, KS. He became a personal lines underwriter in 1990. He joined McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in 2012 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. Scott received his Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1999 and his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2007.
Jaci Manning – Commercial Lines Account Manager
Jaci started in the insurance business right after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.A. in Communications Studies/Minor in English as an Underwriter for Farmers Mutual in 2002. She worked in the homeowner’s department for 6 years and then transferred to the auto department where she became a Senior Underwriter. She worked in that department for nearly 7 years. In April of 2015 she worked as a CSR for a local insurance agency and in July of 2015 she became a licensed independent agent. She began her duties with McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency as their Claims Representative in July 2016.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family; acting in a local community theater group; and helping her local sorority chapter of Alpha Delta Pi as their Chapter Advisor.
Deb Thomas- Personal Lines Customer Service Representative
Deb is a Lincoln native. She joined McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in March 2001. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their 5 children.
Brenda Groskurth- Account Executive
Brenda began her insurance career at McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in September 2008 and is a native of Lincoln. She enjoys providing prompt, friendly assistance to clients. Brenda and her husband have 2 sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Ann Burk – Personal Lines Account Manager
Ann joined McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency in September 2022 bringing with her experience in personal lines, as well as senior health. She was first licensed in 2012 in personal lines then expanded her education in 2017 obtaining her life and health license. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her daughter, son, 2 dogs, and reading.
Hannah Schultz – Personal Lines Account Manager
Hannah was raised in the small town of Curtis, NE. In 2020 she graduated from Medicine Valley High School, where she was very involved in sports and extra-curricular groups. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, working out, watching sports, and spending time with her family. She moved to Lincoln in June of 2022 and started at McCashland Kirby Insurance Agency as a receptionist, and then started the process of becoming the licensed agent she is now. Hannah became licensed in property and casualty insurance in May of 2023. She is looking forward to assisting you with your personal insurance needs.
Ben Christensen – Personal Lines Account Manager
Ben was born and raised in Lincoln, NE where he attended Lincoln Southeast high school graduating in 2019. Ben played golf all four years of high school and still loves to play when he gets the chance. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated in 2019 with a bachelors in Marketing. While there he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and held various leadership positions. He grew up with insurance in his background and couldn’t see himself doing anything different.
